This show is amazing, but the recording is a shambles! I have come to expect a very high standard from Bleeckerstreet engineers and this falls well short, there’s far too much of the room acoustics, the drums are doubled and plastic, and the backing vocals are very dry and poorly mixed. Also the track-divisions are very poorly placed, most notably when the first verse of Father and Son is stuck on the end of Privateering.

Nevertheless, the performance is remarkably good! Ruth Moody sings on several songs, the whole band are in very fine form throughout the evening, and Mark is playing as well as he ever has. Highlights for me are wherever I go, skydiver, Kingdom Of Gold, the rearranged telegraph road, and postcards from Paraguay. Definitely worth getting this one despite the flaws in production.
